  • Wednesday afternoon a Squeegee was found hanging above TJ's in desk in a "Blair Witch Project" styled stick-doll with a note attached reading, "TJ Loves Alice". A fowl smelling substance was also poured into the drawers of the desk TJ works at. This ruined the desk and replacing it will cost approximately $1,200. If you have information as to who did this, please contact the newly implemented Chook Industries P.R.A.N.K.S. [Persons Reporting Against Negative Known Situations] (CIP.R.A.N.K.S). If the perpetrators of this act are caught, punishment will be severe.

  • Due to unforeseen circumstance, any money contributed for this year's Christmas Club will be repaid in comp time. Vacation request forms for 2002 are due by noon tomorrow. Employees are reminded that vacation days are approved on a first come first serve basis, and those who get their forms in first get priority. Employees are also reminded that vacation days are paid in comp time.

  • Missing Squeegee: TJ would like to report that that the squeegee he has offered for sale is missing again. If you know where it is, please contact him as soon as possible.

I don't understand why the Garjoe theme can't come down already. TJ, I
think Garjoe was a great idea, and I read the comic all the time.
However, as much as I hate to say it, you should have never suggested
the idea, because it doesn't look like it is coming down. Upper
Management tells me that it can't come down because it falls into the
Human Interest Board's jurisdiction, which has since been dissolved.
This can't be possible though, because I still see both those guys who
made it up down in the lunchroom playing Gauntlet all the time.

No definite date has been set for the change over at this time. As soon as this information becomes available, it will be posted on the large bulletin board adjacent to the Chainmail Express office. Additionally, upper management recommends that if you must refer to the orange cat associated with the 2001 Halloween motif, call him Garjoe, and that if you need to mention the artist associated with that comic strip, call him Joe David.

  • This month's book of the month as recommended by Lester Wilkerson: 'Quitting the Nairobi Trio', by Jim Knipfel.

  • Message from Larry Snow:

TO ALL EMPLOYEES: DO NOT EVER MENTION THE NAME JIM DAVIS AGAIN. IF YOU DO OR ARE CAUGHT READING GARFIELD COMICS YOU WILL BE FIRED PROMPTLY. RECENTLY I READ JIM'S COMMENTS ON THE HALLOWEEN PARTY WHERE JIM RAISES THE POSSIBILITY OF COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ON PROPERTY THAT IS JIM DAVIS'S. I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS PROPERTY. CLEAR MY NAME AND FOREVER CLEAR CHOOKS NAME. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
