"Grok" is a word that got its start in a novel--Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein. It's a Martian word that originally meant "to drink," but came to mean an understanding so deep that the the understander and understandee become effectively one. Grokking is loving, hating, cherishing, praising, criticizing, and many other things. Grokking is characterized by the prase "Thou art God, I am God, we grok God." Thus ends my nerdly diatribe.
